Catechesis has as its center and its goal the person of Jesus of Nazareth. Catechesis is, therefore, for all ages; it is for adults, for youth, for children. The goal of catechesis is to help put people not only in touch but also in communion, in deepening intimacy, with Jesus Christ.

The central source of catechesis for all children is their parents -- and their family at home. Children’s earliest images of God and of love are learned from their primary caretakers. Family catechesis therefore precedes, accompanies and enriches all other forms of catechesis. We respect and honor this truth; our task is to work with families in their sacred responsibility by providing more formal classroom instruction.

Therefore, the purpose of the Religious Education Program (REP) here at Incarnation Parish is to help transmit the saving truth that Jesus continues to bring to our lives today. Our catechists work to pass on the principles and the life of Jesus and of Christian doctrine, through their lessons and their personal behavior.

It is the responsibility of all Catholic parents to provide religious instruction for their children. REP classes meet weekly from September through May. In addition to the weekly classes, we have an Opening Liturgy for all family members and the Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated with all 3rd through 8th graders during Advent and Lent.

Registration Registration is open to all children whose families are registered in the parish. Parish registration is taken at the parish office. This year our class days and times are as follows:

Sunday Morning 10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Grades K - 6
Monday Afternoon 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Grades 1 - 5
Monday Evening 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Grades 6 - 8
